This course fosters your artistic identity through core skills development and practical techniques, emphasizing making and critical thinking. You may focus on a single discipline or explore multiple media, with practical work enhancing critical and contextual understanding of art and culture theory.Taught by internationally exhibiting artists—including Fine Art lecturer Graham Fagen, who represented Scotland at the 2015 Venice Biennale—you will access large studios for drawing, painting, time-based art, digital media, sculpture, print, photography, video, sound, performance, installation, and artists' books. World-class workshops support experimentation in plaster/bronze/resin casting, woodworking, painting methods, screen-printing, lithography, etching, wood block, 3D printing, interactive programming, ceramics, edit suites, sound rooms, green screen studio, and digital/analogue darkrooms. International exchange opportunities are available.
