The University of Dundee is a public research university based in the city and Royal Burgh of Dundee in Scotland.
Founded in 1881, the institution became a constituent college of St Andrews University in 1897. Autonomy was regained in 1967, and the University celebrated 40 years as an independent university in 2007.
