About the course

This course aims to equip you with the skills and knowledge to become a compassionate and competent registered adult nurse, prepared for diverse healthcare settings. For the BSc (Hons) pathway, you will undertake an honours project on a topic of your choice. As a nurse, you will collaborate with professionals such as doctors, therapists, pharmacists, and healthcare assistants, while supporting patients and their families through difficult circumstances. The programme balances 50% campus-based learning with 50% practical placements in hospitals and community environments, fostering essential hands-on skills. You will engage in workshops and interactive simulations at the Clinical Skills Centre in Ninewells Hospital, including realistic patient scenarios in a cutting-edge simulated ward. Upon completion, you will gain both academic and professional qualifications, enabling registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
