Our BSc in Theoretical Physics with Mathematics, delivered in partnership with Lancaster’s Department of Mathematics and Statistics, integrates core physics, specialised theoretical physics, and pure mathematics. This equips students with a deep understanding of physics' mathematical foundations, such as Hilbert spaces in quantum mechanics. In the first year, core modules cover physics topics like Quantum Physics and Electromagnetism, alongside mathematics including geometry, calculus, numbers, relations, and probability. Years two and three add Theoretical Physics courses and subjects like group theory and differential equations, while the final year includes an investigative group project and options such as Quantum Information and Advanced Gravity and Relativity.
