Our flagship physics degree programme provides flexibility to tailor your studies to areas of interest, from fundamental concepts to advanced topics like sub-atomic particles and superfluids. You can build a custom degree by selecting modules across a wide range or follow predefined pathways in Quantum Technology, Particle Physics, or Particle Physics with Theoretical Cosmology. In Year 1, all students undertake a core curriculum in topics such as relativity and quantum mechanics, complemented by hands-on laboratories. Year 2 allows greater personalisation, with options to adjust choices or switch degrees.For study abroad students, Year 3 is spent at partner universities in regions like Australia or the USA, studying equivalent subjects. In Year 4, focus on an independent research project with expert guidance, alongside six Master's-level modules, some predetermined by pathway choices. The programme ensures accessibility, though placements are subject to availability, with no financial liability from the university.
