Natural Sciences, BSc (Hons), with industry placement

The Natural Sciences degree offers a rigorous interdisciplinary program, enabling students to explore multiple scientific disciplines and tailor their studies through customizable pathways. Students can combine up to three subjects from areas such as Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Computing, Engineering, Environmental and Earth Sciences, Geography, Mathematics, Medical School, Physics, or Psychology. In the first year, participants select three pathways—two sciences and one additional subject from sciences or humanities—while developing key skills like data analysis and technical expertise under leading academics. By year's end, they may opt to continue with three subjects or focus on two.In subsequent years, studies grow more specialized, with opportunities to advance project management and research skills. A paid industrial placement in the third year provides practical experience in a professional setting, supported by career guidance. Returning for the fourth year, students deepen their knowledge in chosen areas and undertake a major research project, preparing for future careers. The university assists in securing placements, with alternatives available if needed.
