Natural Sciences, BSc (Hons), with study abroad

Natural Sciences offers a rigorous degree programme that spans multiple scientific disciplines, with an opportunity for a year abroad to enhance global perspectives. Students can tailor their studies through pathways in subjects such as Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Computing, Engineering, Environmental and Earth Sciences, Geography, Mathematics, Medical School, Physics, and Psychology. In the first year, participants select three pathways—two sciences and one additional subject from sciences, humanities, or social sciences—gaining expertise from leading academics and developing interdisciplinary skills like data analysis and laboratory techniques.By the end of the first year, students may opt to continue with three subjects or narrow to two. The second year builds on these foundations, emphasising project management and research skills. The third year involves studying at partner universities in North America, Australia, or New Zealand, fostering cultural immersion and academic networks. In the final year, students deepen their knowledge through advanced topics and a major research project, with potential industry placements depending on their pathway.
