Mechatronic Engineering, MEng (Hons), with industry placement

This multidisciplinary, professionally accredited MEng programme offers hands-on experience and specialised knowledge in product design and integrated systems, paving the way to chartered engineer status. Mechatronic engineering combines mechanical, electronic, and computer disciplines, as seen in robotics and self-driving cars. Established in 1984, the programme maintains an interdisciplinary focus, starting with a common first-year curriculum for all engineering students, followed by tailored modules in mechanical and electronic engineering, control systems, and electives based on your interests.In the second year, you'll engage in project management through designing and testing a mobile robot, such as one for transporting materials. The third year delves into advanced topics, research-driven modules, a dissertation, and engineering management. The fourth year includes an industry placement with leading companies, enhancing employability, and culminates in a reflective report.
