Chemical engineers innovate materials and technologies that drive future advancements, designing and developing processes for essential products. At the Master's level, this programme builds expertise in chemistry and engineering, alongside management and leadership skills. It features a shared first year across engineering disciplines to foster teamwork and communication, covering core topics like design, materials, thermodynamics, heat transfer, and mathematics, while enhancing problem-solving abilities.In subsequent years, students specialise in chemical engineering, tackling real-world problems and developing creativity, entrepreneurial skills, and employability. The third year includes a group design project addressing economic, safety, and ethical considerations, with emphasis on project management. The fourth year involves an industry placement, followed by a reflective report. Accredited by the Institution of Chemical Engineers, the programme follows the CDIO framework and offers hands-on experience with cutting-edge facilities.
