This MEng in Robotics and Mechatronics emphasises practical engineering, covering mechatronics, autonomous vehicles, embedded systems, robotics, and control. Students gain theoretical knowledge, hands-on lab experience with industrial equipment like mechatronics platforms, mobile robots, manipulators, and 3D printers, plus autonomy through individual and group projects. An optional industry placement enhances employability, supported by our careers team for applications and interviews.Graduates are prepared for Chartered Engineer status and careers in robotics/automation across space, manufacturing, automotive, transport, IoT, communications, and aerospace. The final year explores advanced topics like cybernetics, neural networks, and image processing, alongside entrepreneurship skills. Variants include a four-year MEng without placement, three-year BEng, or four-year BEng with placement.
