Ideal for academic high-achievers, it provides funded summer research projects at Sussex, working with world-leading experts on quantum computers, quantum gravity, black holes, CERN particle searches, and James Webb Space Telescope observations. Students access state-of-the-art labs, master core principles, and specialise in astrophysics, quantum physics, particle physics, materials science, or mathematical physics, with electives in sustainability, economics, and more. The integrated Masters year involves advanced work with research groups in our supportive, close-knit department.Accredited by the Institute of Physics for Chartered Physicist status, variants include options without research placements, a five-year MPhys with industrial placement, four-year BSc with placement, or three-year BSc.
