The BSc Computer Science at Sussex provides a comprehensive professional education in computing, with an optional industry placement year. Students study in Future Technologies Labs, featuring a student hub, high-spec teaching labs, and project spaces. The programme covers core computing concepts and engineering principles for developing fit-for-purpose software in a connected, data-driven world, equipping graduates for diverse industries.An optional placement enhances employability, supported by our careers team for finding employers, applications, and interviews; unsuccessful applicants transfer to the non-placement version. Accredited by BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, the course is also available as a four-year MComp or five-year MComp with placement.
