**Theatre Studies:** This degree programme examines the nature and function of theatrical events and theatre culture from critical, historical, and practical perspectives. Glasgow features a vibrant and diverse theatre and performance scene, with strong links to the theatre and arts sector. These connections offer opportunities to learn from and collaborate with practitioners of national and international standing.**English Language & Linguistics:** This programme combines the study of English language history, structure, and meaning to reveal insights into our culture, society, and identity. Over 50 years, we developed the world-leading *Historical Thesaurus of English*. Students have access to two dedicated laboratories for analysing spoken and written language.
