Sociology examines how people organize their collective lives, the constraints they face, patterns of social behavior, and the causes and consequences of social inequalities. A distinctive feature of our Sociology programme—commended by external examiners and graduates—is the integration of sociological, criminological, and anthropological perspectives.Theology & Religious Studies explores religion, religions, the Bible, and theology—not in isolation, but in relation to politics, history, literature, philosophy, art, culture, personal belief, and practice. We are passionate about investigating how religion shapes political and cultural life.
