Sociology examines how people organize their collective lives, the constraints they face, patterns of social behavior, and the causes and consequences of social inequalities. A distinctive feature of our program—praised by external examiners and graduates—is its integration of sociological, criminological, and anthropological perspectives.Politics studies the distribution of power and influence in society and its effects on decision-making within and among countries and states. You will explore diverse topics, including international relations, political theory, and British politics, with opportunities to join our expanding study abroad program.
