Sociology explores how individuals organize their collective lives, the constraints they encounter, patterns of social behavior, and the causes and consequences of social inequalities. A key strength of our Sociology program, as noted by external examiners and graduates, is its integration of sociological, criminological, and anthropological perspectives.Politics examines the distribution of power and influence in society and its effects on decision-making within and between nations and states. Students will engage with diverse topics, including international relations, political theory, and British politics, and have opportunities to participate in our expanding study abroad program.
