Scottish Literature examines Scotland's poetry, drama, fiction, and prose from the 14th century to contemporary works. The university hosts the only academic unit in the UK dedicated exclusively to teaching and researching Scottish literature, including the Centre for Robert Burns Studies, which is producing a new, multi-volume scholarly edition of the works of Scotland's national poet.Theology and Religious Studies explore religion, faiths, the Bible, and theology, integrating them with politics, history, literature, philosophy, art, culture, and personal beliefs and practices. We are committed to investigating how religion influences political and cultural life.
