Portuguese / Theology and Religious Studies, MA (Hons)

The Portuguese program at the University of Glasgow explores the languages, literatures, and cultures of Brazil, Portugal, and the broader Portuguese-speaking world. Students engage in a diverse curriculum, collaborating in small groups with native speakers from Portugal and Brazil. The program maintains established connections with the Instituto Camões and provides full access to the Language Resources Centre, featuring excellent audiovisual, digital, and printed materials.Theology and Religious Studies examine religion, religions, the Bible, and theology in relation to politics, history, literature, philosophy, art, culture, personal belief, and practice. We are dedicated to understanding how religion influences political and cultural life.
