Portuguese / Scottish Literature, MA (Hons)

The Portuguese programme at Glasgow encompasses the languages, literatures, and cultures of Brazil, Portugal, and the broader Portuguese-speaking world. Students engage in a varied curriculum, working in small groups with native speakers from Portugal and Brazil. With longstanding ties to the Instituto Camões, the programme provides full access to the Language Resources Centre, featuring superior audiovisual, digital, and printed materials.Scottish Literature examines Scotland's poetry, drama, fiction, and prose from the 14th century to contemporary works. The University houses the UK's sole academic unit dedicated exclusively to its teaching and research, including the Centre for Robert Burns Studies, which is producing a new multi-volume scholarly edition of Scotland's national poet.
