Portuguese / Philosophy, MA (Hons)

The Portuguese program at Glasgow University encompasses the study of languages, literatures, and cultures from Brazil, Portugal, and the broader Portuguese-speaking world. Students participate in a diverse curriculum, working in small groups with native speakers from Portugal and Brazil. The program features established connections with the Instituto Camões and provides access to a comprehensive Language Resources Centre with excellent audiovisual, digital, and printed resources.Philosophy systematically employs reason and argument to explore profound questions about knowledge, life, morality, science, and human nature. The department hosts reading parties in the Highlands and maintains a thriving undergraduate Philosophy Society.
