Philosophy involves a methodical approach to addressing fundamental questions about knowledge, life, morality, science, and human nature through reasoned argumentation. We organize reading events for students in the Highlands and support a thriving undergraduate Philosophy Society.Sociology explores how people structure their collective lives, the constraints they encounter, patterns in social behavior, and the causes and impacts of social inequalities. A notable feature of our Sociology program, praised by external examiners and graduates, is the integration of sociological, criminological, and anthropological perspectives.
