Philosophy, MA (Hons)

Philosophy is the systematic use of reason and argument to address profound questions about knowledge, life, morality, science, and human nature.At the University of Glasgow, students enjoy reading parties in the Highlands and a vibrant undergraduate Philosophy Society. Graduates develop valuable transferable skills, including evaluating arguments, interpreting texts, analytical thinking, clear and precise writing, and questioning assumptions. Many pursue postgraduate philosophy degrees or university teaching, with recent roles at Hydrogen Group (recruitment consultant), Hopscotch Films (TV researcher), The Guardian (audience editor), and Civil Service fast track (Treasury and MoD).
