This programme is ideal for individuals with practical music experience and a strong interest in its technical, cultural, historical, and philosophical dimensions. Each year, students select from various options to tailor their degree to their specific interests and strengths.Scottish Literature explores Scotland's poetry, drama, fiction, and prose from the 14th century to contemporary works. Our university is home to the UK's only dedicated academic unit for teaching and researching Scottish literature, including the Centre for Robert Burns Studies, which is producing a new, multi-volume scholarly edition of the works of Scotland's national poet.
