Studying Italian opens up the language and culture of a major EU country that has played a key role in Europe's political and artistic development. Glasgow has a long tradition of teaching in Italian studies, supported by excellent library resources in the subject. You will be taught in small groups, mostly by native speakers of Italian, giving you the opportunity to develop a high level of fluency in written and spoken Italian. Music: If you have practical experience in music and a keen interest in the technical, cultural, historical, and philosophical questions it opens up, then this programme is for you. In each year you are given a range of options from which to choose, allowing you to design your own degree to cater to your own particular interests and strengths.
