Studying Italian provides access to the language and culture of a prominent European Union nation that has significantly shaped Europe's political and artistic development. Glasgow offers a longstanding tradition in Italian studies, supported by excellent library resources, with teaching in small groups led mostly by native speakers to foster advanced fluency in written and spoken Italian.The study of Latin encompasses the language, literature, and Roman civilization, including opportunities to visit archaeological sites and museums in Italy as part of the program.
