**History**: The study of history examines change and continuity in human society over time. Glasgow's programme offers a broad range of courses from medieval to modern eras across the globe, featuring small-group teaching, diverse assessments (including real-world tasks like policy papers and blogs), and one-to-one feedback tutorials. We host leading research centres in gender history, war studies, slavery studies, American studies, and Scottish and Celtic studies. Our teaching draws on world-leading expertise in Scottish, British, European, U.S., and global history; slavery, gender history; and war, intelligence, and genocide studies.**Theatre Studies**: This programme explores the nature and function of theatrical events and theatre culture from critical, historical, and practical perspectives. Glasgow boasts a vibrant theatre and performance scene, with strong links to the arts sector that provide opportunities to learn from and collaborate with practitioners of national and international standing.
