The study of history explores change and continuity in human societies over time. At Glasgow, we provide a comprehensive programme spanning medieval to modern eras and across the globe, featuring small group teaching, diverse assessments like policy papers and blogs, and personalised feedback tutorials. We host leading research centres in gender history, war studies, slavery studies, American studies, and Scottish and Celtic studies, drawing on world-class expertise in Scottish, British, European, U.S., and global history, as well as slavery, gender, and war-related fields.Psychology is the scientific examination of the mind and behaviour, focusing on how individuals think, act, react, and interact to support personal and societal needs through research and practice. A degree in psychology offers endless pathways, thanks to the development of strong analytical and psychological skills. Our school combines global expertise in experimental psychology, cognitive science, and cognitive neuroscience to advance knowledge of human and animal behaviour.
