The university hosts prominent research centres in gender, war, slavery, American, Scottish, and Celtic studies, drawing on expertise in Scottish, British, European, U.S., global history, and related fields like slavery, gender, and war studies.Philosophy systematically addresses fundamental questions about knowledge, life, morality, science, and human nature through reason and argument. Glasgow offers reading parties in the Highlands, a vibrant undergraduate Philosophy Society, and is home to the Centre for the Study of Perceptual Experience.
