The History of Art program examines the reasons behind the forms and appearances of paintings, sculptures, buildings, and various design works across media. Students benefit from extensive resources, including the University Library and Archives, The Hunterian museum and art gallery with its world-renowned Hunter, Whistler, and Mackintosh collections, and Kelvin Hall's innovative collections-access centre. Additionally, a grant is provided during the third-year break to support visits to relevant museums, galleries, and buildings.
