The History of Art program examines the origins and aesthetics of paintings, sculptures, buildings, and designs across various media. Students will access the University Library and Archives, The Hunterian museum and art gallery with its renowned Hunter, Whistler, and Mackintosh collections, as well as Kelvin Hall, an innovative collections centre. A grant is provided during the third-year break to support visits to relevant museums, galleries, and buildings.The Latin program focuses on the study of the Latin language, literature, and Roman civilization, including opportunities to visit archaeological sites and museums in Italy as part of the curriculum.
