This course summary highlights two disciplines. Geography explores the Earth's surface as a habitat for human activity, examining variations in physical and human landscapes and their interconnections. The programme is accredited by the Institute of Environmental Sciences and the Royal Geographical Society.Sociology investigates how individuals organise their social lives, the constraints they encounter, patterns of behaviour, and the causes and consequences of social inequalities. A key feature of our Sociology programme, praised by external examiners and graduates, is the integration of sociological, criminological, and anthropological perspectives.
