About the course

Geography is the study of Earth's surface as a habitat for human life and activity, encompassing variations in physical and human landscapes and their interconnections. This degree programme is accredited by the Institute of Environmental Sciences and the Royal Geographical Society.Scottish literature examines the poetry, drama, fiction, and prose of Scotland in English and Scots, spanning from the 14th century to contemporary works. The university features the only dedicated academic unit in the UK for teaching and researching this field, and it hosts the Centre for Robert Burns Studies. This centre has secured over £2 million in funding from the Arts and Humanities Research Council to produce a new multi-volume scholarly edition of the works of Scotland's national poet.
