**GAELIC:** Explore Scottish Gaelic language and culture through the centuries to the present day, developing skills for the contemporary job market. *Ionnsaich mu chultar na Gàidhlig tro na linntean, agus leasaich do sgilean cànain airson chothroman cosnaidh nas fheàrr.* Study Gaelic folklore, song, modern poetry, autobiography, contemporary fiction, and drama, with opportunities to use Gaelic outside the classroom via the University’s Gaelic initiative and the city’s vibrant community.**ENGLISH LANGUAGE & LINGUISTICS:** This program combines the study of English language history, structure, and meaning to uncover insights into our culture, society, and selves. Over 50 years, we developed the world-leading *Historical Thesaurus of English*. Access two dedicated laboratories for analyzing spoken and written language.
