This course summary highlights two programmes. Film and Television Studies examines cinema and television as key drivers of enjoyment and knowledge in modern culture. Glasgow, a leading hub for film and television production, regularly welcomes practitioners and policymakers from the creative industries to the University.Sociology investigates how people structure their lives collectively, the constraints they encounter, patterns of social behaviour, and the causes and effects of inequalities. A distinctive strength of our programme, as noted by external examiners and graduates, lies in its integration of sociological, criminological, and anthropological perspectives.
