Glasgow serves as a prominent hub for film and television production, with regular visits from creative industry practitioners and policymakers to the University.Social and Public Policy examines strategies to tackle global challenges like poverty, inequality, housing, health, technology, and sustainability. Drawing on concepts from political science, sociology, and economics, it analyzes how governments address public needs, welfare, and wellbeing, including a work placement with voluntary or public sector organizations.
