About the course

This course summary highlights two key areas of study. Film and Television Studies explores cinema and television as significant forces shaping enjoyment and knowledge in modern culture. Located in Glasgow, a major hub for film and television production, the University regularly hosts visits from creative industry practitioners and policymakers.Scottish Literature examines the poetry, drama, fiction, and prose of Scotland from the 14th century to contemporary works. The University is home to the UK's only dedicated academic unit for teaching and researching Scottish literature, including the Centre for Robert Burns Studies, which is producing a new multi-volume scholarly edition of Scotland's national poet's works.
