This degree programme examines cinema and television as key forces of enjoyment and knowledge in modern culture, alongside the study of history as change and continuity in human society. The University of Glasgow offers a broad curriculum spanning medieval to modern times and global perspectives, drawing on expertise in Scottish, British, European, US, and global history; slavery, gender, war, intelligence, and genocide studies.Leading researchers in Film & Television Studies deliver teaching enriched by connections to Glasgow’s creative organisations, including guest talks from policymakers and practitioners.
