In this course summary, students will delve into the full spectrum of English literature, leveraging the department's expertise in diverse fields such as American, Irish, and postcolonial literatures, critical theory, creative writing, and the intersections between literature and other arts, media, and sciences. Additionally, participants will access the University's renowned Hunterian collection and the Library's Special Collections, which excel in 18th- and 19th-century materials, travel literature, illuminated manuscripts, and extensive single-author holdings.Philosophy entails a methodical approach to addressing profound questions about knowledge, life, morality, science, and human nature through reason and argument. The program includes student reading parties in the Highlands and a thriving undergraduate Philosophy Society.
