It provides a humanistic lens on digital age challenges and is accredited by CILIP, the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals.English Language and Linguistics explores the structure and meaning of the English language from past to present, offering insights into culture, society, and human identity. Over the past 50 years, we have developed the world-leading Historical Thesaurus of English, a unique resource for tracing the evolution of its vast vocabulary. Students also gain access to dedicated laboratories for analysing spoken and written language.
