About the course

Glasgow Dental Hospital & School, situated in the city centre, provides facilities for patient care, student clinical practice and training, and education and research in dental and oral diseases and disorders.Dentistry at the University of Glasgow ranks 2nd in the UK for 2025 in The Times & Sunday Times Good University Guide and the Complete University Guide, and 4th in the Guardian University Guide. In year 3, students select an elective topic for in-depth study in Glasgow or abroad, with University support for international opportunities. Most graduates enter general dental practice, with options in hospital or community dental services. NHS general practice requires one year of vocational training, sometimes extended voluntarily to two years for experience in primary and secondary care settings.
