Comparative Literature/Italian, MA (Hons)

COMPARATIVE LITERATURE: Comparative literature is the study of literature across cultural and national frontiers, time periods, languages and genres, even across the boundaries between literature and the other arts. You can study Comparative Literature alongside a whole range of other subjects and you may want to consider studying it with a foreign language to further expand your horizons. ITALIAN: Studying Italian opens up the language and culture of a major EU country that has played a key role in Europe’s political and artistic development. Glasgow has a long tradition of teaching in Italian studies, supported by excellent library resources in the subject. You will be taught in small groups, mostly by native speakers of Italian, giving you the opportunity to develop a high level of fluency in written and spoken Italian.
