Comparative Literature examines literature across cultures, nations, time periods, languages, genres, and even other arts. Classics explores the literature, history, art, and material culture of ancient Greece and Rome, with Latin and/or Greek available at any level.At the University of Glasgow, pair Comparative Literature with diverse subjects, ideally a foreign language. Programme includes visits to Italian and Greek archaeological sites and museums; Honours students receive funding for up to three weeks at such sites post-year 3. Year 3 options include study abroad in Europe (e.g., Athens, Rome), Australia, New Zealand, or North America.
