Classics encompasses the literature, history, art, and material culture of ancient Greece and Rome, with Latin and/or Greek language study available at any level. Theology & Religious Studies examines religion, the Bible, and theology in relation to politics, history, literature, philosophy, art, culture, personal belief, and practice.At the University of Glasgow, students visit archaeological sites and museums in Italy and Greece, with Honours students eligible for up to three weeks abroad (post-year 3) and financial support. Year 3 options include study at universities in Europe (e.g., Athens, Rome), Australia, New Zealand, or North America. The programme explores religion's influence on contemporary politics, culture, literature, art, conflict, and global challenges like armed conflict and climate change. Graduates pursue diverse careers in heritage, teaching, consultancy, finance, publishing, law, accountancy, academia, museums, libraries, civil service, IT, business, journalism, charities, NGOs, NHS, and churches.
