Classics encompasses the study of literature, history, art, and material culture from ancient Greece and Rome. Students may pursue Latin and/or Greek languages at any level and have opportunities to visit archaeological sites and museums in Italy and Greece as part of the program.Computing science covers a wide array of fields, including programming, software engineering, human-computer interface design, algorithms, computer and network systems, artificial intelligence, information retrieval, and big data systems. The School of Computing Science established the Centre for Computing Science Education in 2017 to advance leadership and innovation in education. Graduates are recognized by the British Computer Society (BCS) and The Chartered Institute for IT, meeting the academic criteria for Chartered IT Professional (CITP) registration.
