Central and East European Studies explores the history, economics, politics, and sociology of the region's countries. The University serves as a hub for a government-funded Centre of Excellence in Russian, Central, and East European Studies, offering year-round cultural, social, and academic events.History examines change and continuity in human societies over time, with Glasgow providing a comprehensive program spanning medieval to modern eras and global perspectives. The curriculum includes small-group teaching, diverse assessments such as policy papers and blogs, personalized feedback sessions, and access to leading research centres in gender, war, slavery, American, Scottish, and Celtic studies.
