The Celtic Civilisation course delves into the history, societal evolution, literature, material culture, art, and religion of the Celts, spanning from their ancient origins on the European continent to the contemporary British Isles. Students can explore medieval and modern cultures of Celtic-speaking peoples alongside leading scholars, as part of a joint degree program that does not require learning a Celtic language. The Classics program examines the literature, history, art, and material culture of ancient Greece and Rome. It allows for the study of Latin and/or Greek at any level, and includes opportunities to visit archaeological sites and museums in Italy and Greece as part of the curriculum.
