Studying Celtic Civilisation explores the history, societies, literature, material culture, art, and religion of the Celts from their European origins to the modern British Isles. Classics examines the literature, history, art, and material culture of ancient Greece and Rome, with optional study of Latin and/or Greek at any level.At the University of Glasgow, you can pursue medieval and modern Celtic-speaking cultures with leading researchers in a joint degree, without needing to learn a Celtic language, and visit archaeological sites and museums in Italy and Greece. Graduates enter diverse careers, including teaching, museums, heritage bodies, publishing, research, academia, consultancy, finance, law, accountancy, civil service, librarianship, archiving, and IT/software development.
