Archaeology explores how past societies interacted with their environment through in-depth analysis of artifacts, sites, monuments, and landscapes. Students gain practical fieldwork skills in the UK and abroad, with recent participants conducting projects in the Baltic states, Cyprus, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Italy, and Portugal.Geography examines the Earth's surface as a space for human life and activity, addressing variations in physical and human landscapes and their interconnections. The Honours programme is flexible, combining core and optional courses to allow customization for diverse career opportunities, and it is accredited by the Institute of Environmental Sciences and the Royal Geographical Society.
