Archaeology examines how past societies engaged with their environment through in-depth analysis of artefacts, sites, monuments, and landscapes. Students can develop practical fieldwork skills in the UK and internationally, with recent participants conducting studies in the Baltic states, Cyprus, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Italy, and Portugal.Classics encompasses the literature, history, art, and material culture of ancient Greece and Rome. Options to study Latin and/or Greek are available at all levels, and the programme includes visits to archaeological sites and museums in Italy and Greece.
