Archaeology examines how ancient societies interacted with their environment through the detailed study of objects, sites, monuments, and landscapes. Students can gain practical fieldwork skills in the UK and abroad, with recent participants working in the Baltic states, Cyprus, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Italy, and Portugal.Celtic Studies integrates language learning with courses on the medieval and modern cultures of the Celtic peoples in the British Isles. Participants study these cultures with leading researchers and have the opportunity to learn a Celtic language from the region.
