Students can acquire hands-on fieldwork experience in the UK and internationally, with recent participants exploring locations such as the Baltic states, Cyprus, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Italy, and Portugal.Celtic Civilisation explores the Celts' history, societal evolution, literature, material culture, art, and religion from ancient Europe to the modern British Isles. It allows study of medieval and contemporary Celtic-speaking cultures with leading researchers, offered as a joint degree without requiring language proficiency.
