Students may opt to learn Latin and ancient Greek, with opportunities to visit archaeological sites and museums in Italy and Greece. Additionally, participants can spend their third year studying at universities in North America, Australia, New Zealand, or Europe.Archaeology focuses on understanding past human interactions with their environments through the analysis of objects, sites, monuments, and landscapes. Students develop practical fieldwork skills in the UK and abroad, including recent experiences in the Baltic states, Cyprus, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Italy, and Portugal. The program emphasizes hands-on heritage work, such as archaeological techniques and their social benefits, supported by day and residential field trips to sites, landscapes, museums, and other venues.
